Artistic Blank Space
In 2022, I participated in the exhibition “COMPOSITION 04” directed by Kaori Eguchi, presenting my work for the theme “SILVER RATIO – White Silver Ratio.”
The task was to use materials with dimensions adhering to the silver ratio of 1:1.414, all under 5 millimeters, to design an object with a functional purpose. Each participating designer crafted their unique item. I designed a hook of A4 size.
The most renowned application of the silver ratio around us is in A4 paper, widely used as a standard for printed materials, in flyers, and documents. I envisioned that a hook of this size could transform items hung on it into graphic elements resembling art posters, thereby enhancing their visual appeal.
